I have left some pictures up to remember the pups when they were small.
I opened up the door to the outside, and the six week old pups are all curious.
Most of the pups came out to say hello
this morning.
They are growing so fast. And I
try to give them a new
experience every day. They are learning
very fast also.

Three months and one week old. (13 weeks) Female 2 has turned into a nice looking, big boned puppy.
The pups all put their head into the choke chain while getting ready to go someplace. They lead out in front of
me and head right for the truck. Their head is up and their tail is wagging, they think "going" is fun.

Exercise and HD
Four month old male pup leading, but two females a split second behind him.
My camera will take 9 pictures about a second apart. All I have to do is keep the camera on the subject. That is
harder then it sounds. The pups play, run and jump. They get plenty of exercise, sun and fresh air. This
is all necessary to build strong bones and a healthy pup. If the pups can't run and jump without getting hurt, maybe there
is something wrong or weak in their make-up.
Just off the subject a wee bit - - when Gladys and I started obedience classes, we had over 80 in the class.
20 of us completed our CD. When we started the open classes many of the dogs were injured when we started
the jumping classes. Only 8 of us went on and completed the UD title. Now I know other factors enter into the dropout
rate, but still there were injuries. It is my opinion that if the dog has the correct front shoulder, they should not
be injured by jumping if they are conditioned and started out slowly.

As the pups grow, they have an "UGLY" stage. Some of the experts on these different stages say to evaluate
the pup at 7 weeks and then don't look at him till he is a year old. The "uglies" can cause some people hypertension
and/or ulcers and certainly arouse all sorts of worries. But, even when you know this will happen, it will cause
worries, nightmares, elevated stress, etc. Well, we have entered the "UGLIES".
Jonathan posing with Orion ( 4 1/2 months old) and he has ears at half mast, they are up one day and down the next,
and his hind legs seem to be growing very fast so that he is running "downhill" all the time. Oh this is the uglies.
And Occhiali has an ear that is curling backwards ! eek. will she straighten out or should i tape it?
